A Different Sort of March on Washington

Back in July I created White Men (left) for the exhibition paper works . I'd forgotten how different an approach drawing is. From start to finish the image took about 3 longish days in a process which is much freer than the paintings I've worked on in the past 5 years. I really like the idea and action itself of working in chalk and charcoal, something I mentally associate with French academic art. However, this drawing is based on a digital photo taken on vacation sent through my computer to a projector intended for television or classroom work.
